The Girl, The Grouch, and the Goat
4/17/09 - 5/24/09

I will be directing this year's entry into the LA Festival of New American Musicals at the Chance Theater, a brand new musical written by the Tony Award winning composer of Urinetown. A wild and farcical romp through ancient Greece where Athens is struck by a drought and the only water in town is controlled by a nasty old grouch named Clemnon. What happens when the greed of one compromises the needs of many? And what makes those wild goats so bloody hard to catch?? Go to www.chancetheater.com for tickets and more info.

As a composer, Erik Satie may politely be referred to as eccentric, but he still wrote one of my all-time favorite melodies. Short and simple, it seems to float in midair. Download it here: Satie - Gymnopedie No. 1 (2.46MB)

Anne of Green Gables
12/18/08 - 12/21/08

The audience favorite from last year is being remounted in Anaheim's 500-seat Heritage Forum for one weekend only! Don't miss this delightful musical adaptation of the classic novel about Anne Shirley, a red-haired, wide eyed orphan girl who is thrust upon the town of Avonlea. Her genius for getting into trouble changes her life and the lives of all those around her. Truly a heartwarming story for everyone in the family. I'll be reprising the same roles as last year, as well as tickling the ivories, so don't miss it!

Baby
10/3/08 - 10/12/08

I'm returning to the George Nakano Theater in Torrance once again to accompany the musical "Baby" for the Torrance Theater Company. This classic musical from Maltby and Shire tells the story of three couples in different stages of life, all expecting children, yet having very different reactions to the news according to their situation. Funny and poignant, with some catchy tunes, it's a must see!

Evita
8/2/08 - 9/7/08

Come and see me play Augustin Magaldi in Andrew Lloyd Weber's classic musical "Evita" this summer at the Chance Theater! In an intimate staging of the award-winning musical Evita, The Chance Theater explores one of the most controversial and influential political figures in modern history -- Eva Peron. Told entirely through song and dance, this daring story follows Evita as she struggles to overcome the poverty and despair of her youth and ultimately become the most powerful woman in South America. But is Eva’s legacy to be remembered as a beloved saint of Argentina, or the manipulative wife of a despised dictator?

The Brain From Planet X
5/3/08 - 6/8/08

Starting in May, I will be music directing and leading the band for this entry in the LA Festival of New American Musicals. A rip-roaring musical send-up of bad 50s sci-fi movies, The Brain From Planet X tells the story of an alien invasion circa 1958. When an ill-intentioned band of interplanetary travelers arrive on Earth with a plan to take over the world, an all-too regular, nuclear family is forced to defend the human race from will-bending extinction. Can YOU withstand the power of the Brain from Planet X?!
